Location, Location, Location!

If your customer base is largely in the UK or elsewhere in Europe then you may want to consider a UK web hosting service.

Having a website located on a server in the United States may cause slower load times for those customers in Europe. These load times may be minimal for simple html pages, but for resource intensive sites you will want your relay points to be as short as possible.

The UK has some excellent hosting options. Bandwidth providers are stable and there are world class data centers as well.

Why choose the UK location over the rest of Europe?

A common practice in European web hosting services is charging an extremely low price for the actual space and bandwidth, but they charge extra for the support calls you make. If you have a technical site we recommend hosting in the UK and make sure you get the best support. If you don't anticipate ever needing help with your site and are comfortable with the web you may want to consider Europe's other hosting options. When choosing a web host make sure the support has no language barriers - The last thing you need when your site goes down is someone on the other end of the phone not knowing what you're saying.

Offshore Web Hosting?

We don't recommend using "offshore web hosting" companies. There are no guarantees for these services as they are usually involved in illegal activities or unethical practices. Sometimes these are called "bulletproof hosting".

Don't risk down time for these services. If you must host outside the U.S. - Host in the UK, Canada, or Australia.
