Maya Karin Roelcke

Maya Karin Roelcke, born on 29 October 1979, is an actor and singer from Malaysia. She is commonly referred to as Maya Karin in the media.

Born to a German father, Gottfried Roelcke, and a mother of Malay, Chinese and Indian parentage, Che Zan, from Pulau Pinang[1], Maya is the oldest out of three siblings and graduated at Lim Kok Wong Institute in media and marketing.

Involvement in the modelling industry

Maya constantly became a hunted product or brand name for modelling whether she would be a TV commercial model or a brand name as a TV commercial model or their speaker. She was modelling along with Pantene, Wella, Halle, dan Yishion (with Hans Isaac).

Maya’s first award was a “Popular New Artist” trophy for “Berita Harian Popular Star Award 2001″ (ABPBH2001) in Genting Highlands, Pahang. Currently, she is a VJ of Channel [V].
