Shoulder bag0 viewsAnother day, another Top 100 Bags of 2006 post, I hope you’re enjoying these as much as I am! We’ve had so many horrendous bags being produced this year, so it’s a lovely feeling to award some of the nicer pieces of arm candy these special Christmas presents. Today we’re gushing over Pink Lining’s ‘Busy Day’ shoulder bag, which we wrote about in September,Sep 18, 2008 dior_8.jpg
Dior ‘Rebel’ bags0 viewsLucky sods, two Top 100 Bags of 2006 posts for today! Ok, it’s because I’ve been lazy the past few days and haven’t put any up, very sorry! You may remember these Dior ‘Rebel’ bags from June this year, they’ve been really quite popular since their launch, and even inspired a Matalan bag later on. Hopefully that doesn’t mean they’re past their prime, but being placed at number 75 on our annual list is surely a worthwhile feat! Take a look under the jump for some more beauties.Sep 18, 2008

Gorgeous Bag0 viewsAfter a brief hiatus on Friday, we’re back in the chair and feeling good, which means it’s time to resume the Top 100 Bags of 2006. Making a brief appearance at number 88 is this gorgeous limited edition checkerboard Luella ‘Suzi’ tote. Made from two different types of eel, it was a very pricey affair at $1,795, however for the few who bought it (no doubt the A-listers) I bet it was worth it.Sep 18, 2008 louisvuitton_3.jpg
Louis Vuitton Bag0 viewsSurely you must remember this awful Louis Vuitton ‘Pleated Steamer’ from a Yay or Nay Wednesday back in September? True, most of you, including myself, despised it, so you may be wondering what it’s doing being included in the Top 100 Bags of 2006. Love it or hate it, there’s no point denying that this controversial LV eyesore was one of the more risque bags of the year, and when fashion’s top girl, Kate Moss, is seen plastered in every magazine and busstop modelling it, how can we ignore such a bag?

Anna Sui ‘Butterfly’ bag0 viewsAfter a couple of days’ break from counting down the Top 100 Bags of 2006, here’s another three to tide you over until tomorrow. Let’s start off with this Anna Sui ‘Butterfly’ bag from early in the year, you’ll no doubt remember her popular ‘Butterfly’ boots that every woman and her sister were craving at that time? With that gorgeous pearly white leather and brass chain strap, it deserves place number 64.

Top 100 Bags0 viewsCan you believe we’re almost half-way through the list, at number 67 already on the Top 100 Bags of 2006? These sequinned doctor bags from Luella came out early in the year, around March, and instantly caught my eye with their Wizard of Oz appeal. Sadly now unavailable, you’ll have to make do with what’s under the cut, at numbers 66 and 65…Sep 18, 2008 hobo_bag_header.jpg
Hobo bags0 viewsI don’t know why these are called hobo bags, because I can’t imagine a hobo having the time to whip up this little number. However, I have to say, I like the shape very much and somewhat got over my aversion to sewing curves. Fabric shown is Peapod (outside) and Leaflet (inside) from the Modern Flora Collection.
