RON95 fuel

BHPetrol will make available RON95 fuel at all its over 300 petrol stations nationwide starting Sept 1.

Named “infiniti95″, it will be priced at RM1.75 per litre. It will replace its RON92 fuel, said managing director Tan Kim Thiam to reporters at the launch of the new fuel Thursday.

“RON92 will be replaced by RON95 in accordance with the government policy,” he said. The government had asked oil companies to come up with environment-friendly fuel to preserve the environment from air pollution.

The new petrol is also called “double performance fuel” as it cleans and protects engines while giving extra mileage and power.

Tan said Infiniti95 will offer unparallel performance with its 800ppm additives which is twice the manufacturer’s recommended minimum treat rate.

“This will allow Malaysians to try out our new fuel. We are confident they will feel the difference,” he said.

Tan said the new fuel has been engineered to enhance performance by using a specially-formulated additive package from one of the world’s leading chemical company in Germany.

He also said BHPetrol plans to open 12 new petrol stations annually. So far, six have been opened.
