Beyonce has postponed a show in Malaysia not long after receiving some protest from Islamic critics. She was suppose to take the to stage Oct. 25 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. The date has since been removed from her website.
The Malaysian promoter, Marctensia, informed E! News that “the postponement is solely [the] decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons.” It is otherwise believe that the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) in the nation has a problem with Beyonce’s revealing stage outfits and her sexy dance routines.
Back in 2007 the entertainer encountered the same snag in Malaysia and moved the show to Indonesia where the Islamic rule was more lenient for performers. Marctensia has expressed that new date for the concert will be announced soon. PAS’s young wing has also prevented other singers, like Avril Lavigne, from performing the in nation.
