Celcom (Malaysia) Bhd has officially announced the change of the company’s name to Celcom Axiata Bhd.
The name change is effective today, it said in a statement here.
“The change is in line with the Axiata Group’s branding strategy to fully leverage on Celcom’s position as part of a regional telco.It is to also reflect both our local identity and strengthen the Axiata Group’s regional footprint,” the statement added.
According to the statement, the change is also in line with that of other Axiata subsidiaries. Axiata is the parent company of Celcom Axiata. – Bernama
