The report, which cited unnamed sources, remains unconfirmed, according to People.
Manson, 41, and Wood, 22, have had an on-off again relationship since they began seeing each other in 2006. The pair reportedly met at a party at the Chateau Marmont where the famously dark-circled Manson was drawn to Woods’ use of eyeliner. He once described their relationship as ‘healthy and loving’.
Woods has appeared in the television series American Gothic and Once And Again. She also appeared in the movies Running With Scissors and Whatever Works
Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood Are Engaged
Controversial rocker Marilyn Manson and actress Evan Rachel Wood have announced their plans to become husband and wife.
According to an article on People.com, “The shock-rocker reportedly proposed to the ‘True Blood’ actress while he was performing on stage in Paris on Monday, according to reports. Rumors have been swirling for days about the famously on-again, off-again couple’s engagement.’”
Despite the report, both Manson and Wood have remained silent on the subject.
41-year-old Manson began dating the 22-year-old Wood, who starred in the Academy Award-nominated film “The Wrestler,” back in 2006. Since then, the couple has broken up and gotten back together several times but this time they seem ready to make their union official.
Manson has one previous marriage. In 2001, on Manson’s 32nd birthday, he and burlesque model/actress Dita Von Tesse became a couple. They were married on Nov. 28, 2005 but, on Dec. 29, 2006, Von Tesse filed for divorce citing “irreconciable differences.” Manson was served with divorce papers on his birthday Jan.5, 2007.
Meanwhile, Wood’s film credits include the 1998 Sandra Bullock/Nicole Kidman/Aidan Quinn romantic fantasy comedy”Practical Magic,” starring on the ABC family drama “Once and Again,” which starred Sela Ward and Billy Campbell, the 2002 Al Pacino/Winona Ryder/Catherine Keener science fiction fantasy “S1mone” and the 2006 Annette Bening/Joseph Fiennes/Gwyneth Paltrow/Alec Baldwin/Kristin Chenoweth dramedy “Running with Scissors.”
