Piston actuated valves.
Spirax Sarco’s PF5 and PF6 series of piston actuated valves provide a competitive solution for on/off control in a wide range of industrial applications. The robust and compact valves provide tight shut-off by utilising a PTFE plug seal, while the valve stem sealing is achieved through self-aligning PTFE chevrons to maximise sealing integrity.
PF5 and PF6 valves are suitable for use on a wide range of media including steam, air, oil, water and other fluids. They can operate at a maximum temperature of 180°C with pressure ratings up to 40 bar.
Standard configurations include six line connection sizes from 12 to 50 mm. The actuators are available in 45, 63 and 90 mm diameters to conveniently cover all size and pressure applications. Various connection options include screwed, flanged, socket weld, butt weld and sanitary clamp arrangements.
Normally closed and normally open versions are offered plus a version for special bi-directional flow and anti water hammer applications. The normally closed valves are designed for flow over the seat, while the normally open valves are designed for flow under the seat. For special applications that require flow in both directions, the bi-directional normally closed type is advised.
Various options are available including a flow regulator, travel switch and a directly mounted solenoid pilot valve.
