Video: Kesha admits mistake over ‘Britney who?’ lyric

US singer Kesha has attempted to apologise to Britney over a lyric featured in the song Styrofoam.

A line in the song sees Ke$ha whining: “In ten years, Britney Spears… Britney, who?”

But she claims it is not all it seems. In an interview with So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Ke$ha backtracks a bit.

First of all, she didn’t write “that bit” (it is unclear whether she wrote the rest of the song) and besides, she was only 15 when it was written and she just didn’t have the confidence to insist against it (although we can’t imagine Ke$ha ever not having enough confidence for anything).

Anyway, that particular line is apparently the reason the song is not on her record and actually she has “mad respect” for Britters.

Of course, it’s not the first time that the outspoken Ke$ha has criticised Ms Spears.

She also recently slammed her for miming during her Australian tour but, since that isn’t mentioned here, we can only assume she does “stand behind” that particular slating.
